The Takeovers Panel has today published the reasons for its decision to consent to the application from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) dated 9 July 2004 alleging unacceptable circumstances in relation to the affairs of The Gribbles Group Limited being withdrawn.

The Panel announces that it has received an application from Mr Robert Catto dated 22 July 2004 alleging unacceptable circumstances in relation to the affairs of Lake Technology Limited

The Takeovers Panel (Panel) has considered the application (the Application) by Gerald Francis Pauley and Gordon Bradley Elkington (the Applicants) dated 12 July 2004 alleging unacceptable circumstances in relation to the affairs of Kaefer Technologies Limited (Administrators appointed) (KAE).

The Application related to the alleged failure by parties associated with EC Medical Investments NV (ECMI) to comply with the tracing and substantial holding provisions of the Corporations Act (2001) (Cth).

The Takeovers Panel has today issued a number of revised Guidance Notes.

The Panel announces that it has received an application from Australian Leisure & Hospitality Group Limited (ALH) dated 20 July 2004 alleging unacceptable circumstances in relation to the off-market takeover bid by Bruandwo Pty Limited (Bruandwo) for all the ordinary shares in ALH.

The Panel has considered the application by Sofcom Limited (Sofcom) dated 8 July 2004 (the Application) alleging that unacceptable circumstances exist in relation to the affairs of Rivkin Financial Services Limited (RFS).

Following the Panel’s media release TP04/57, released on 9 July 2004, the President of the Panel has appointed Meredith Hellicar (sitting President), Robyn Pak-Poy (sitting Deputy President) and Simon Withers as the sitting Panel to consider the application from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) dated 9 July 2004 alleging unacceptable circumstances in relation to the affairs of The Gribbles Group Limited.
