The Takeovers Panel advises that it has received an application dated 26 April 2006 from Alinta Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary Alinta Group Holdings Pty Ltd (together Alinta), for review, under section 657EA of the Corporations Act, of the decision made by the Panel in the Alinta Limited 01 proceedings.
The decision in Alinta Limited 01 was announced by Panel media release TP06/41 on 23 April 2006.
The Panel has not decided whether to conduct proceedings in relation to the application and makes no comment on the merits of the application. It also notes that it has not received submissions from the other parties to the application and it is, therefore, unaware of their views.
The President of the Panel is appointing a sitting Panel to consider the review application.
