Takeovers Panel advises that it has received an application dated 21 August 2006 from Australian Pipeline Limited (in its capacity as responsible entity of Australian Pipeline Trust) and Australian Pipeline Trust (together APT) under sections 656A and 657C of the Corporations Act in relation to the acquisitions of APT units by Alinta Limited on and from 16 August 2006.
APT's application includes requests for a declaration of unacceptable circumstances, interim and final orders.
The Panel has not decided whether to commence proceedings in relation to the application and makes no comment on the merits of the application.
The President of the Panel is appointing a Panel to consider the application.
