The Takeovers Panel welcomed the announcement in New Zealand today by the New Zealand Commerce Minister Lianne Dalziel that Mr Peter Scott has been appointed as the Australian member of the New Zealand Takeovers Panel.
Mr Scott is a senior member of the Australian Takeovers Panel and has been a member of the Panel since 2002. Mr Scott is Vice Chairman, Investment Banking at UBS AG and has more than 20 years experience in providing financial advice to large Australian companies and governments.
One of the positions on the New Zealand Takeovers Panel is filled by a member of the Australian Takeovers Panel in a reciprocal trans-Tasman arrangement. Under these arrangements the Chairman of the New Zealand Panel, Mr David Jones, is a member of the Australian Takeovers Panel.
