The Panel is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr Allan Bulman as Director to replace Mr Nigel Morris, following Nigel's resignation (see TP07/62).
The Panel advertised nationally for a suitable person and is very pleased that Allan Bulman has accepted the position. Allan has considerable experience of takeovers and government, having worked at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission for the past 12 years, most recently as Director, Capital Markets. He has broad experience in the mergers and acquisitions area. He holds the qualifications of Master of Laws, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce.
Allan will start on 2 January 2008.
The President of the Panel, Mr Simon McKeon, welcomed Allan's appointment and said he was looking forward to Allan making a significant contribution in the coming years.
The current Director, Nigel Morris, will remain with the Panel into January to ensure a smooth hand over to Allan. Mr McKeon expressed his appreciation to Nigel for this.
