The Takeovers Panel notes that BG International (AUS) Investments 1 Pty Limited has served supplementary and replacement bidder's statements on Origin Energy Limited and lodged the same with ASIC and ASX. BG has not yet despatched these documents to Origin shareholders.
As a result of this, Origin has sought a further interim order restraining the dispatch of the supplementary and replacement bidder's statements to Origin shareholders, pending the final determination of the application.
A sitting Panel has not been appointed at this stage and no decision has been made as to whether to conduct proceedings. The Panel makes no comment on the merits of the application.
